Latest Arrivals
This year’s rugs incorporate both muted tones and vibrant rich colors, while their soft fibers and textures create a soothing and comfortable environment. There are so many options to choose from! The spectrum runs from quiet and subtle to an embrace of rich cultural design and personality. The diversity and quality of the styling will definitely last, and the components of each rug are far more sustainable than we have seen for a long time.

One of this year’s trends is for updated traditional rug patterns, giving you many options for adding a statement piece to your home’s decor. Popular patterns for 2022 are being taken from different historical periods, so you’re adding time honored character as well as visual interest to a room. They have a luxurious look and feel and are in keeping with current color trends of muted shades of greens, browns, and blues. Many of these rugs have a dense pile, or are tightly woven, giving them added durability.
A mix of materials, textures and a variety of pile heights help enhance the intrinsic beauty of area rugs. These features can also be a great choice for busy households with high traffic areas. Tightly twisted yarns and the right combination of fibers and materials create a more durable rug that is far less likely to show the wear patterns that you’ll see in plush or standard cut pile rugs. Plus, they are the perfect way to transform any living space from drab to fab!

This year’s trends include textured plaids with a nod to a midcentury aesthetic. The colors used are mainly neutral, so the look is fresh yet still adds a note of historic interest. The textural profile adds subtle styling that pulls together a room while keeping the focus on your furniture and decor.
There are two distinct approaches to the traditional rugs we’re seeing this year. One trend has been popular for several years. This is where the rug pattern is so distressed there are large areas where only a subtle play of color is discernible. The newer trend uses far less distressing to keep the traditional patterns clearly visible. Aging is added through the use of intense yet muted colors.
